I, for one, would love to know how you "kick" the drill off to another aximuthal direction, it boggles my mind, and all the more reason for an article about all of this -- hydnjo talk 20:32, 11 May 2006 (UTC) Why is it that a cube cannot be sliced by a plane in such a way that the cross section formed will be a regular pentagon? What you need to prove is that every connected component is also path connected. By August of 1967, we had produced a table, which we called the CHART, on which we compared the concepts of the classical calculus with the corresponding concepts of the geometric calculus and the corresponding concepts of our most general (up to that time) non-Newtonian calculus.

The geometric calculus was used by Mustafa Riza (Eastern Mediterranean University in North Cyprus), Hatice Aktore (Eastern Mediterranean University in North Cyprus), and Bugce Eminaga (Girne American University in Cyprus) in their lecture re dynamical systems called "A modified quadratic Lorenz attractor in geometric multiplicative calculus" at the 28th International Conference of the Jangjeon Mathematical Society. [233] The geometric calculus was used by Luc Florack and Hans van Assen (both of the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands) in their work on biomedical image analysis and "complex imaging frameworks such as diffusion tensor imaging".

Various applications of the geometric and bigeometric calculi are indicated in the Applications and Citations sections of this website. Alas, I’m only an American, and thus doomed to bastardize the language. The mathematician Kurt Gödel was so afraid of tainted food that he would eat only portions his wife tasted first; after she became too ill to do this, he starved to death. The purpose of this article is to provide a condensed review of multiplicative calculus and to illustrate its potential use in biomedical image analysis. ...

They are used as the default environment for nested Lua functions created by the function. Some OCD patients compulsively wash their hands, disturbed that their hands might be dirty and unable to ever convince themselves that their hand-washing was effective. I have been privileged to be his student, colleague, and friend. Furthermore, some authors have used the expression "Volterra multiplicative calculus" for a system created by Vito Volterra in 1887 for the purpose of solving systems of linear (classical) differential equations.

We showed that the classical calculus and each non-Newtonian calculus can be 'weighted' in a manner explained in our book The First Systems of Weighted Differential and Integral Calculus (1980). Students must take the initiative to find additional jobs. The block must exist until the reader function is called again. Surprisingly, their time evolution can be analyzed by employing a non-Newtonian calculus ..." - Wojbor Woyczynski, Case Western Reserve University, USA; from an abstract to his 2013 seminar [146]. "The goal of this paper is chaos examination in multiplicative dynamical systems described with the [bigeometric] derivative." - Dorota Aniszewska and Marek Rybaczuk, both from Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland; from their 2008 article "Lyapunov type stability and Lyapunov exponent for exemplary multiplicative dynamical systems". [131] " ... evolution of fractal characteristics will be examined with the help of dynamical system theory or more precisely in terms of [the bigeometric] calculus."

The well-known logarithmic derivative is useless because of the fact that it can be expressed in terms of the classical derivative. Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated! In these cases, it automatically provides the string length. If I remember correctly, this is possible by computers in only rather basic cases, but not in general. Are you ready to have the top scientists in your field criticizing your work in journals and dissing you at meetings?

This is because each line is typeset as a completely separate equation —notice the use of \right. and \left. so there are no unpaired \left and \right commands within a line (these aren't needed if the formula is on one line). It is used in the auxiliary library by luaL_newstate. static void *l_alloc (void *ud, void *ptr, size_t osize, size_t nsize) { (void)ud; (void)osize; /* not used */ if (nsize == 0) { free(ptr); return NULL; } else return realloc(ptr, nsize); } Note that Standard C ensures that free(NULL) has no effect and that realloc(NULL, size) is equivalent to malloc(size).

My goodness, I never thought I’d stumble upon such a debate!
